This Cobalt Blue and White tile was Inspired by Historic Renaissance Art Tile... At the dawn of the Renaissance, it was widely believed that a new golden age of artistic creativity was unfolding. This rebirth of elegant classic beauty with it’s pleasing visual curves, and graceful delicate ornamentation, found it’s way into all art forms including tapestries, architecture, stained glass and sculpture. However, nowhere was this artistic revival more evident, then in the tile work of the time. This design was adapted from the magnificent tile art of the Renaissance period.
