The Black-capped Chickadee is small bird that has a black crown and bib and white cheeks. It is often found in small flocks, in both evergreen and mixed forests. Sometimes comical and always friendly, the black-capped chickadee is seen year-round at residential feeders.
The Cardinal, with its' bright red plumage in the male, make this bird easily identifiable. Once considered uncommon in the east, the cardinal is now frequently seen year-round at residential feeders.
